Life with Maddie

raising a little drama queen is tough

Stepping on the scale has never been so fun. I dropped another pound. 8 pounds down, many more to go.

We went to Pay Less and Maddie saw the bananas and literally went bananas. She cried for it and kept saying “nana! Nana!” One of the workers heard her and went and bought her two bananas. We were going to buy it on our way out but he bought it for her to eat while we finished shopping. It was such a sweet gesture. Old people are so sweet.

I have lost 7 pounds within three weeks. I am so happy. All this calorie counting and gym time is paying off. I have 20 more pounds to go until I reach my first goal weight.

We went to a family bbq earlier, and I held my godson majority of the time. He’s only five months, and he is just perfect. I miss the smell, and the little babbles and laugh. Maddie was a little jealous at first, but then she calmed down about it.

She kept saying “mommy, baby? baby?” and she kept kissing him. We taught her how to say brother too, but she says “bodder.” I know Maddie would absolutely love a sibling, especially at her age. She loves kids and babies so much. Today just gave me mad baby fever. I want another baby so badly.

We just can’t though. Lance has a full time job, but I know we would not be able to afford two babies. Not yet. I just want my degree already, so I can have my career, money and more kids.

Kids. Give me your kid?

I think this photo of Maddie and I will always be one of my favorites, even though the quality is crap. She was only 9 days old. I always stared at her, amazed by her presence, her beauty (and still am). She is my entire world, I can’t even imagine life without her. Heck I don’t even remember how life was like before I had her.

I hate how Lance tries to tell me what to do or what not to do when it comes to Maddie.

I do everything for her. Bathe her, feed her, make her favorite ramen, change all her diapers, make her sleep, put up with her tantrums, and the list goes on. He doesn’t do any of those. When I bring it up to him, he says he buys her diapers and carries her under his insurance. Oh.. Well I’m sorry. I didn’t realize how hard that was. He comes over most days and stays for an hour or less. Goes to some family functions. But thats it. Thats how much time he spends with Maddie. It is rubbish.

So when he says I cannot take Maddie somewhere, or suggests I do something else.. No. Unless you do as much as I do, or even half of what I do, then your opinion would matter. If not, then all your opinions are useless to me. What I say goes. Sorry.

I swear this girl is definitely a Guam girl. She loves wearing everyone’s slippers.

Tonight we had dinner at Skylight for Lance’s dads birthday. Maddie wore one of her new pretty dresses and she ate sooo well tonight. She ate soup with rice, melon, bread, a cookie, frozen yogurt and just a little cake. We are brushing her teeth extra tonight!! Everyone enjoyed her company and her smart replies. She kept talking to all the tourists and their kids. We definitely enjoyed ourselves.
